Kola Awokunle Oladaya was born in May 1973 and he is a 2005 graduate of applied and fine art from Obafemi Awolowa Uninversity Ile Ife Nigeria.
Oladayo has been painting professionally for over 20 years. It was in his early years in secondary school he developed an interest in arts, starting with drawings and still life painting. He has practised and developed works in numerous techniques, some of which include oil and acrylic painting on different media, Batik on cloth and rice paper, Water colour and mixed media.
Oladayo has received commissions of works from numerous organisations, some of which include, Hotel chains, governmental ministries and enterprises in Nigeria. His works exist in many private collections in Europe, Middle East, U.S and the U.K. He continuous to receive international visitors to his studio, where visitors appreciate and collect his works. He has gallery representation in the U.S and with JonaQuestArt in the UK.
He has participated in numerous solo and Group exhibitions in Nigeria, some of which include British high commission, Abuja, Port Harcourt Shell Camp, Bureau of Public Enterprises, I.I.T.A Ibadan.
Oladayo draws inspiration from his immediate environment rich in traditional lifestyles and the different cultures in Nigeria, which he communicates with a vibrancy of colour and mixed media.
