Nyanhongo R is Sculptor based in the U.K from the multigenerational Nyanhongo family of Sculptors in Zimbabwe. He worked under the excellence of his brother Master Sculptor Gedion Nyanhongo as an apprentice.

He first began to sculpt after learning at a young age by assisting in the duties of chiselling, filling, sandpapering and polishing for his father and sold his first Sculpture at the age of 12. Working with Springtone, Opal stone and Green Nyanga Serpentine is his favourite medium. It allows him to manoeuvre and bring the best out of the natural shape and form from the stone.

In his practice, he visualises and communicates with the stone, telling him what it has to offer, which leads to his intuitive sculptural creations. He has been exhibiting since 2003 and has sold works in the UK, Europe, US and Africa.
