About the Artist
Femi Durotimi is from the southern part of Nigeria. Femi studied painting at Auchi Polytechnic in Benue state Nigeria and graduated in 2010. He is a member of the society of Nigerian Artists Abuja.
Femi developed a technique called interlockism, which is the technique used in most of his works. This technique involves the interlocking of colours and represents how we as humans are interconnected and our lives interwoven. He sees humans as one, where individuals are streams that flow independently, but come together as one river.
Femi lives and works in Abuja.
