In doing some research online, I discovered that on the 4th Saturday of every month, a section of Old Spitalfields market in London is home to an African market, so I deicied to vist to see what was on offer. On a Saturday evening, I met up with friends for drinks at the Aqua bar and restaurant in the Shard. I got there about 5.30pm and there was a 45min wait to get into Aqua or Oblix. I did not mind queuing, as I could write my blog post while waiting.
From time to time, I like to visit Old Spitalfields market in the city of London for inspiration, to get a buzz and generally see what is new from a creative perspective in arts and crafts.
I love visiting art studios, as one gets the opportunity to interact with the artists. I get to talk about their inspiration, acquire an understanding of their background and artistic journey. To me, it is like getting to know more about the recording artist of my favorite song. I like speaking directly with the artist
The Raw London event truly lived up to its name last week, by showcasing a good mix of raw creative to a mixed crowd of art lovers, art discoverers, like me, fashionistas and people who just wanted an early start to the weekend on a thursday night.
