Solomon Okpurukhre is a visual artist, painter, sculptor, graphic designer, and curator. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Sol is also an Austrian citizen, who has studied art at various schools and institutes and through travel and experimenting, especially as a freelance sculptor and painter in Dakar, Senegal, perfected his characteristic techniques.
Establishing his art agency SARTO in 2001, he has inspired many international and regional artists to participate in his art exhibitions. Over the years he has brought in ‘lots of colour, vitality and creativity in the areas of “art for the economy” and Modern Art.’
Bringing artists together, networking and successfully cooperating are important goals of his work as an artist, curator and organiser of art exhibitions.
Sol himself has exhibited in various different countries, as well as created commissioned artworks displayed in numerous companies, associations and likewise in the possession of private art collectors.
